The Rainy weather did not dampen the spirits of the scores of people that came out to Epic Saturday’s, Fancy, at Aria Lounge on the Avenue.
The Lineup of Dj’s were first class and the selection of music was just the right medicine for all those suffering from a Carnival Tabanca.
Epic Saturdays did not fail to give the people what they wanted and one came simply say , “I Had An EPIC Time”.

Live at the Hyatt | A Caribbean Man : A Tribute to Black Stalin.

Sunday the 22nd of February many Calypsonians and well wishers of Dr. Leroy Calliste aka The Black Stalin came out in their numbers to pay tribute to a stalwart of the arts. Due to his recent and ongoing health issues the UWI, Media 21 and Roy Cape signed a memorandum of understanding to hold the Classic Concert : A Caribbean Man. A Tribute to Black Stalin. The MOU was signed as a strategic partnership between the three entities, with net proceeds of the event to be paid over to another UWI Honorary Graduate: veteran calypsonian Leroy Calliste (Black Stalin), for defraying his medical expenses. The line-up includes notable entertainers such as Mungal Patasar,Sugar Aloes, The Honourable Minister Winston (Gypsy) Peters, Machel Montano , David Rudder, Professor Hollis Liverpool (Chalkdust), Kevin Calliste, Brother Valentino, Errol “Bally” Ballantyne, Len “Boogsie” Sharpe and Twiggy, among others.

LIVE AT THE HYATT presents Children Of The Drum, a theatrical presentation that celebrates the oneness of our Republic. The show started from 4th February and goes until the 21st. The story is told via a musical presentation with dance, complimented by performances from the original cast Bunji & Fay Ann, David Rudder, Destra, Blaxx, KI & Kes joined by Olatunji, Farmer Nappy and Raymond Ramnarine, performing as they will on no other stage. It’s a stroll down memory lane as much as it is a celebration of the musical innovation that defines us as a people.

Celebrating Cocoa Innovation – A Tasting Event

Café Mariposa is an open-air restaurant, nestled in the beautiful valley of Lopinot which is also home to many Cocoa Estates. Their unique cuisine and ambience has attracted local and international visitors who are now regulars at the Café. The Team at Café Mariposa in its commitment to aid in revolutionising the Trinidadian Cocoa Industry is hosted its 2nd Cocoa Tasting Event last evening. Guests were treated to taste bud popping, unique and exquisite Cocoa Inspired Food and Drinks as well as an evening of music by Yuraric Keyna, a visiting band from Ecuador, and our local band, Overdrive. It was a Celebration worth experiencing for all Cocoa and Chocolate Lovers, showcasing some the different uses of the Cocoa Bean through innovation and creativity as well as building on its superiority in the local market and creating new niche markets here.

Behind the Scenes – ELLE\Oor Jou Spa Promotional Shoot

Lime.tt was invited to capture behind the scenes at the Elle/Oor Jou Spa promo shoot Friday night.

Conveniently situated in Woodbrook, formerly Ate Logo’s Head Office compound, this antique building has been transformed by Ate Logo owner and now Spa ower Ms. Antoinette Maund.

Ms. Maund relayed her love for entertaining, serving people and spas leading her to this venture. The décor boasts of crisp white clean walls, sculptures, fixtures and furnishings are recycled from the original Ate Logo office and tailored to add to the ambience of Oor Jou.

Oor Jou is a spa that offers new, exciting and relaxing treatments which are affordably priced and the hours of opening, 2:00p.m. to when the last customer leaves, cater toward working women, who wish for pampering or just to unwind from daily stresses of life.

Upon entry, the aroma of mint, lavender and other combinations of oils floods ones senses. Therapy rooms boast of new and hi-tech equipment, a sauna, a vichy shower, executive pedi stations, manicure stations and the main room where one can bask in the after treatment.

While you are being treated, your wine glass is automatically refilled and light refreshments are served to enhance your experience. Currently, clients of Oor Jour are friends and friends of friends and persons who come based on recommendation.
